What's the difference between boosting, duo and Pro Play?
All three get you somewhere you couldn't reach alone, but they work very differently. The questions that decide between them are simple: who plays the games, whether anyone else signs in to your account, and whether you want to get better or just get there.
| Format | Who plays | Your login shared? | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Piloted boost | A booster, on your account | Yes | The result you ordered, fastest |
| Play with your booster (duo) | You, with the booster in your party | No | The same result, while you play every match |
| Pro Play (coaching) | You, with a high-level player calling the game | No | Coaching for the hours you book, and the skill to keep climbing |
When does a piloted boost make sense?
A piloted boost is the quickest route to a rank, a set of wins or an unlock. A booster signs in to your account and plays until the result you ordered is reached, while you follow progress and chat with them in your dashboard.
It suits players who want a specific result without the grind and who accept the trade-off: someone else is signing in to their account, which most games' terms don't allow. Every BoostingXP order is played by hand with no cheats or bots, through a VPN matched to your region and with Appear Offline on by default. Our guide to whether game boosting is safe explains what those measures do and don't change.
On a boosting order the result is guaranteed: if it isn't delivered, you're eligible for a full refund under the Refund Policy.
When should you play with your booster instead?
Choose this if you want the result but don't want anyone else on your account. You stay signed in to your own account, the booster joins your party from theirs, and you queue together until you reach what you ordered. Nobody else signs in, so the account-sharing rules don't come into it, and you pick up how a stronger player approaches each game along the way.
It's an option at checkout on many services, though not all: some top-end orders are piloted only. It takes longer than a piloted boost because you play every match, and it costs more. On services that offer it, playing with your booster adds 100% to the price.
When is Pro Play the better choice?
Pro Play is BoostingXP's coaching. Instead of buying a result, you book a high-level player by the hour. They join your party from their own account and call positioning, rotations and decisions live while you play every match yourself.
- What you buy: coaching for the hours you book, not a specific rank. If you want a guaranteed result, a boost is the right product.
- How long: from 1 to 12 hours in a booking, and the hours don't have to be used in one sitting.
- Who coaches: a player who plays at a high level, checked on rank before they coach. It doesn't mean a signed esports player, and you can't pick a specific coach yet.
- Where: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, across most of the games we cover.
Pro Play suits players who keep losing the rank they reach, or who want to understand why they lose fights, not just skip past them. The Pro Play page has the full details and the hourly price.
How do the three compare on price?
Each format is priced differently. A boost is priced by the result: the ranks, wins or items between where you are and where you want to be. Playing with your booster costs more because the order takes longer. Pro Play is priced per hour, from $40 an hour on the cross-game page.
Our guide to how game boosting prices work explains every part of a boosting price, from the base price to the optional extras.
Which one should you choose?
- You want the result quickly and accept a shared login: a piloted boost.
- You want the result and want to keep your login to yourself: play with your booster.
- You want to hold the rank afterwards and get better: Pro Play.
Plenty of players mix them, for example a boost to get past a wall they're stuck on, then a few hours of Pro Play to stay there.
FAQ
Is coaching better than boosting?
It depends on what you want. Boosting gets you a guaranteed result, while coaching makes you a better player but doesn't promise a rank. If you want both, play with your booster or follow a boost with Pro Play.
Do I have to share my account for Pro Play?
No. You play every match on your own account, and the coach joins your party from theirs.
Can I play with my booster on every service?
No, it's offered on many services but not all, and some top-end orders are piloted only. The order form shows the option when a service has it.
How long does Pro Play last?
You choose from 1 to 12 hours when you book, and you don't have to use them in one sitting.
Is Pro Play the same as playing with a booster?
They both keep you on your own account, but the goal differs. Playing with a booster is a boost toward a set result. Pro Play is coaching, priced by the hour, focused on how you play.
