FC 27 Division Rivals Rewards: Every Division, Weekly Points and What Each Tier Is Worth

FC 27 Division Rivals rewards for every division, Base and Upgrade: coins, CQP and packs, the 15 and 30 weekly points, and when the extra wins pay off.

By Published Updated 12 min read

Quick answer

FC 27 Division Rivals pays weekly rewards on Thursday for the division you are in and the points you banked: 15 points (5 wins) unlock Base rewards and 30 points (10 wins) unlock Upgrade. In Season 1, Elite Upgrade pays 122,500 coins and 1,000 CQP, Division 1 pays 95,000 coins and 750 CQP, and Divisions 8 to 10 pay no coins.

Current for FC 27 Ultimate Team Season 1, last checked 16 October 2026. EA can change the reward tables when Season 2 starts on 22 October; we will update this page when it does.

FC 27 Rivals rewards at a glance

Division Upgrade coins (30+ pts) Base coins (15 to 29 pts) Weekly CQP Extra coins for wins 6 to 10
Elite 122,500 62,500 1,000 60,000
Division 1 95,000 47,500 750 47,500
Division 2 72,500 35,000 600 37,500
Division 3 52,500 25,000 500 27,500
Division 4 37,500 17,500 400 20,000
Division 5 22,500 10,000 400 Upgrade, 200 Base 12,500
Division 6 12,500 5,000 150 7,500
Division 7 2,500 0 100 2,500
Division 8 0 0 80 0
Division 9 0 0 60 0
Division 10 0 0 50 0

The last column is the part most reward lists leave out. It is what the second five wins of the week are worth in coins alone, and it falls off a cliff below Division 5. If you are deciding how to spend your playing time this week, that column answers it faster than the full tables further down.

How Division Rivals rewards work in FC 27

Division Rivals is Ultimate Team's weekly online ladder. Every week you collect weekly points from your matches, and when the week resets EA pays you the reward tier those points unlocked, at the size set by your division. Two numbers decide your reward, and they are independent of each other:

  1. Your division, from Division 10 at the bottom to Elite at the top. It sets how big every reward is.
  2. Your weekly points. They decide whether you get nothing, the Base tier or the Upgrade tier.

The points are simple. A win banks 3, a draw banks 1 and a loss banks nothing. 15 points unlock Base rewards and 30 unlock Upgrade, so the cleanest routes are 5 wins for Base and 10 wins for Upgrade. Draws help more than people expect: 8 wins and 6 draws also reach 30.

Points stop counting once you reach 30. Nothing above Upgrade exists, so every match after your tenth win of the week is only for climbing the ladder, post-match coins and Season Points.

When are FC 27 Rivals rewards released?

FC 27 Rivals rewards are released every Thursday morning UTC, at about 07:00 UTC, when the Rivals week resets. The countdown on the Division Rivals tile shows the exact time for your region. You claim them from Ultimate Team, the Web App or the Companion App, and you can leave the packs unopened in your store until you want them.

The reward is paid at the size of the division you are in when the week closes, not the division you started the week in. That makes the last days of a week the best time to push for a promotion you are close to: climb on Wednesday and the bigger table pays out the next morning.

What changed in FC 27 Rivals

EA's FC 27 launch Pitch Notes (14 September 2026) made four changes that matter for rewards:

  • The Division 6 rule for FUT Champions is gone. In FC 26 you had to reach Division 6 to play toward Champions qualification. In FC 27 any division can qualify. Higher divisions still earn Champions Qualification Points (CQP) faster.
  • Rivals and Squad Battles both pay CQP. The CQP column above is the weekly reward; matches pay some CQP too, but EA has not published a per-match figure.
  • More coins. EA said it was increasing the FUT Coins available through Rivals, and widened the gap between divisions on purpose. Division 1 Upgrade alone is 95,000 coins in Season 1.
  • Every Rivals pack is tradeable at launch. That changes how much the packs are worth, because a good pull can be sold.

Bounties also return and appear more often. They are single-match challenges that pop up before a game, such as scoring first or keeping a clean sheet, and EA says they can pay extra weekly reward points or speed up your movement up the ladder. Many of them can be completed even in a match you lose, so read the bounty before kick-off rather than after.

Is it worth playing for Upgrade rewards?

Yes from Division 5 up, and mostly no below it. The answer comes from what the extra five wins add, because Base and Upgrade are not two separate rewards: Upgrade replaces Base.

Division Extra coins from wins 6 to 10 Coins per extra win Extra CQP
Elite 60,000 12,000 0
Division 1 47,500 9,500 0
Division 2 37,500 7,500 0
Division 3 27,500 5,500 0
Division 4 20,000 4,000 0
Division 5 12,500 2,500 200
Division 6 7,500 1,500 0
Division 7 2,500 500 0
Divisions 8 to 10 0 0 0

Three things stand out:

  • In Division 1 and Elite, the second five wins are the best-paid matches in Ultimate Team. Roughly 9,500 to 12,000 coins per win, on top of post-match coins and the better packs.
  • The weekly CQP is the same at Base and Upgrade in every division except Division 5. If you only care about Champions qualification, 5 wins already collect the full weekly CQP almost everywhere. Division 5 is the exception, where Upgrade doubles it from 200 to 400.
  • Below Division 7 the Upgrade tier adds packs, not coins. In Divisions 8 to 10 those extra five wins are worth more as ladder progress than as rewards, because promotion is what changes your reward table.

Climbing a division vs collecting Upgrade

The bigger long-term gain is usually promotion, because a higher division pays more every week from then on. Compare the Upgrade tiers of neighbouring divisions:

Promotion Extra coins per week at Upgrade Extra weekly CQP
Division 1 to Elite 27,500 250
Division 2 to Division 1 22,500 150
Division 3 to Division 2 20,000 100
Division 4 to Division 3 15,000 100
Division 5 to Division 4 15,000 0
Division 6 to Division 5 10,000 250
Division 7 to Division 6 10,000 50
Division 8 to Division 7 2,500 20

A single promotion from Division 3 to Division 2 is worth 20,000 more coins every Upgrade week for the rest of the season. Over a five-week season that outweighs one extra week of rewards in almost every division. The practical rule: bank your 10 wins each week, and spend any extra time pushing the ladder rather than stopping at 30 points.

How the Rivals ladder works

Each division is split into stages. A win moves you up one stage, a draw keeps you where you are and a loss can move you down one. Two wins in a row start a win streak, and each further win in the streak moves you up two stages until you draw or lose. Win streaks speed up the climb but do not add weekly points.

Checkpoints stop you falling all the way back after a bad run. Some are permanent for the season and some are Limited Checkpoints that break after a set number of losses; the game shows how many losses a checkpoint can take when you reach it. The in-game Progress screen shows the stages and checkpoints for your division, and it is worth checking before a session so you know how much margin you have.

Elite works differently. Once you get through Division 1 you stay in Elite for the rest of the season, and your position there is tracked with a Skill Rating instead of stages. Elite also has a Top 200 leaderboard. Because you can't drop out of Elite, the only thing at stake in Elite matches is your rating and the weekly points.

What happens to your division when the season resets?

When a new Ultimate Team season starts, everyone drops down the ladder from the division they finished in. The Season 1 restart table, as tracked by fifauteam, drops most players one or two divisions: Elite restarts in Division 2, Division 3 in Division 5 and Division 6 in Division 8, while Divisions 9 and 10 stay put. Season 1 ends on 22 October 2026, so the first Thursday of Season 2 pays out at your new, lower division.

That reset is the reason to time a push. A climb in the last week of a season is worth one payout before the drop, while the same climb in week one is worth five.

Rivals rewards and FUT Champions qualification

Division Rivals is now one of two ways to earn Champions Qualification Points, alongside Squad Battles. You need enough CQP to enter the FUT Champions Finals, and the target is shown on the Champions tile in game; it was tracked at 1,000 CQP in Season 1.

The weekly CQP table shows how fast each division gets you there:

  • Elite pays 1,000 CQP a week from Base alone, which covers the Season 1 target with 5 wins.
  • Divisions 1 to 3 pay 500 to 750 CQP a week, so the rest has to come from match CQP or Squad Battles.
  • Divisions 6 to 10 pay 50 to 150 CQP a week, which is why lower-division players lean on Squad Battles for qualification.

If your goal is the Finals rather than Rivals coins, check what the Finals pay before you spend the week qualifying: Ranks 15 to 12 (1 to 4 wins) pay Champions Tokens only, and coins start at Rank 11 (5 wins). If your Rivals division pays too little CQP, Squad Battles is the other way to reach the target.

Our FC 27 FUT Champions rewards guide has every Finals rank, the Champions Token Store and how many Rivals wins it takes to requalify after each finish.

What frustrates Rivals players right now

  • Matchmaking feels uneven. Divisions 10 to 1 match you by location and rank, not by squad strength, so an early-season Division 6 game can still put you against a far better team. EA fixed a FUT Champions matchmaking issue on 9 October but has not announced Rivals changes.
  • Manual defending is harder. FC 27 cut how often AI defenders win the ball for you, and EA's 13 October feedback update admits there is "a learning curve". Losses from it cost stages, not just pride. Our guide to the best FC 27 formations and tactics covers setups that protect you while you adjust.
  • The 30-point week takes a lot of games. At a 50% win rate, 10 wins means around 20 matches a week. That is the main reason players miss the Upgrade tier, not skill.
  • The season reset undoes a climb. Losing two divisions at the start of every season is frustrating if you climbed late. Plan the push for early in the season when it pays out longest.

How to get Upgrade rewards every week

  1. Play your 10 wins early in the week. Bad runs happen. Starting on Thursday or Friday leaves time to recover; starting on Wednesday doesn't.
  2. Count draws. A draw is a third of a win in weekly points. Don't throw a level game in the last minute chasing a winner if you are close to 30.
  3. Read the bounty before kick-off. Bounties pay weekly points or stage skips, and many pay even when you lose.
  4. Stop after a checkpoint, not before one. When tilt sets in, finish at a checkpoint so a losing streak can't cost you a division.
  5. Push for promotion near the end of the week. The reward follows the division you are in when the week closes.
  6. Don't leave rewards unclaimed. They wait in the game, but packs you leave unopened in a strong market lose value when prices drop.

If the weekly grind is the problem, a Division Rivals wins boost lets a high-division player bank the 10 wins on your account, and a Division Rivals boost handles the climb itself. Both are played by hand, and everything EA pays stays on your club.

FC 27 Division Rivals rewards FAQ

How many wins do you need for Upgrade rewards in FC 27?

You need 10 wins for Upgrade rewards in FC 27, because each win banks 3 weekly points and the Upgrade tier starts at 30. Five wins give 15 points, the Base tier. Draws bank 1 point each, so mixes like 8 wins and 6 draws also reach 30.

What time do FC 27 Rivals rewards come out?

FC 27 Rivals rewards come out every Thursday morning UTC, at about 07:00 UTC, when the weekly reset happens. The Rivals tile shows a countdown to the exact time in your region. Claim them in Ultimate Team, the Web App or the Companion App.

What does Elite Division pay in FC 27?

Elite Division pays 122,500 coins, 1,000 CQP and packs including 5x 84+ and a 1 of 5 84+ pick at Upgrade in Season 1. At Base it pays 62,500 coins and the same 1,000 CQP. Once you reach Elite you stay there for the rest of the season.

Do you need Division 6 for FUT Champions in FC 27?

No, FC 27 removed the Division 6 requirement for FUT Champions. Any division can qualify as long as you earn enough Champions Qualification Points from Rivals and Squad Battles. Higher divisions pay more CQP each week, so they still qualify faster.

Are FC 27 Rivals rewards tradeable?

Yes, every Rivals pack reward was tradeable at FC 27's launch, according to EA's launch Pitch Notes. That includes the player picks. Coins and CQP go straight to your club when you claim them.

Do you drop divisions at the start of a new FC 27 season?

Yes, the ladder resets at the start of each Ultimate Team season and most players drop one or two divisions. In Season 1, Elite restarted in Division 2 and Division 3 in Division 5, while Divisions 9 and 10 stayed where they were. Season 2 starts on 22 October 2026.
