What happens when the season ends

Each NBA 2K27 season has a 40-level rewards ladder, shared by MyCAREER and MyTEAM. When a new season starts, your season level resets and rewards you reached but didn't claim are gone; your MyPLAYER builds, OVR, badges, REP and VC carry over.

Before the season ends

  • Claim each Season 2 level as you reach it: unclaimed rewards are gone when the season ends.
  • Aim for the GOAT Builds: 2K's Season 2 reward track unlocks Magic Johnson at Level 26, Dirk Nowitzki at Level 33 and Kobe Bryant at Level 37. They leave the ladder when Season 2 ends.
  • Level 40 is reported to give a +1 Cap Breaker, as it did in Season 1. 2K's Season 2 page doesn't list it, so confirm it in the in-game Season tab.
  • Buy the Pro Pass only if you will use it this season: each season sells its own, and it ends with the season.
  • Your MyPLAYER build, OVR, badges, REP and VC carry over, so there is no need to spend VC before the reset.
