A rank boost takes your account from its current rank to the rank you choose, anywhere from Iron 1 to Radiant, in normal competitive queues on PC, PlayStation or Xbox.
It is the service to pick when a specific tier is the goal. If what matters is your placement for a new act or a number of wins, the placement and wins boosts fit better.
From Iron to Ascendant, each tier is climbed with Rank Rating (RR): wins add it, losses take it away, and reaching 100 RR moves you up a tier. That is why an account gaining little RR per win needs more wins to climb the same distance.
From Immortal 1 the RR bar no longer resets. Immortal 2 and Immortal 3 unlock at RR thresholds Riot sets per region, and Radiant is reserved for the top of each region's leaderboard - so boosts into those ranks depend on where the thresholds sit when your order is played. If an order finishes a point or two short of the rank you bought, the booster keeps playing until it is reached.

A VALORANT account belongs to one region, and its rank is earned on that region's servers. Choose the region your account is registered in - North America, Europe, Korea, SEA/OCE, Brazil or Latin America - so the booster plays the same lobbies your rank counts in.
