Escape from Tarkov Pro Play: What You Need to Know
Pro Play is self-play. You keep your account and your kit, and you raid alongside an experienced Tarkov player who talks you through the run as it happens.
Tarkov punishes bad decisions harder than almost any other shooter, which is exactly why having someone make those calls beside you is worth more here than in most games.
Why Tarkov is hard to learn alone
Most deaths in Tarkov are decided before the fight - the wrong spawn read, the wrong extract, pushing a compound you had no reason to enter. Dying also takes your kit, so the lesson costs money as well as time, and repeating it is how players stall out entirely.
What a session covers
- Raids run alongside an experienced Tarkov player
- Spawn reads, map routing and extract timing called live
- When to take a fight and when to leave with what you have
- Loadout and insurance decisions explained before you commit to them
- Quest routes worked into the raids you are already running
- Voice comms if you want them - text works too
How it differs from a boost
Nobody else signs into your account and nothing is done for you. A boost delivers the level or the quest; Pro Play delivers the raid knowledge that stops you losing the next one, which is what actually changes how the wipe goes.
Arranging a session
Agree a time with your pro in chat after ordering, and raid when it suits you.
Getting the Most From a Session
- Bring the quests you are stuck on, so the raids you run together also move them forward
- Take a map you find hard rather than one you already know
- Ask about the calls the pro makes before a fight - when to push, when to wait and when to leave
- Use your normal loadout, so the advice fits the kit you actually run
Before You Raid
- Agree a time with your pro in the order chat; sessions run on PC
- Insure what you bring in, and bring kit you are prepared to lose - a session is real raids
- Decide whether you want voice comms; text works too
- Check your quest list, so the pro can plan the first raid around it
Pro Play or a Boost?
Pro Play suits players who want to stop dying for the same reasons. If you only need a quest done or a stash restocked, a piloted order is faster: see the Quests Boost or the Gear Boost.
