Dota 2 Wins Boosting: A Set Number of Ranked Wins
A wins boost buys a number of won ranked matches rather than an MMR target. Only wins count toward the order: a lost match does not come off the total, and the booster keeps playing until every win you paid for is on your account.
How the Order Is Priced
You choose the number of wins and your current rank, from Herald to Divine. The price per win is set by that rank and rises through the brackets. There is no fixed limit on how many wins you can order - larger orders simply take longer, and Dota matches are long.
Wins Boost or MMR Boost?
Every ranked win adds MMR, so wins always move your rating up - but how far depends on the MMR each win is worth to your account at the time. Choose wins when the count is what matters; choose an MMR boost when you want a specific rating or medal. Dota has no win-streak bonus, so wins in a row are worth the same as wins apart.
Order Options
- Priority Order - top of the queue, completed at double the standard speed
- Play with Booster - win the matches yourself, in party queue with the booster
- Streaming - a private stream link to watch the matches
- Appear Offline - included free and on by default
How Far Do Wins Move Your MMR?
A ranked win on a settled account is usually worth around 25 to 30 MMR, and a loss takes about the same away. One star from Herald to Ancient is 154 MMR wide, so it takes roughly five or six wins more than losses to move up a star; Divine stars are 200 MMR wide.
A wins order counts wins only, so the losses played along the way do not come off your total - but they do still cost MMR. That is why ten wins rarely mean exactly ten wins' worth of rating. If the rating is what you want, an MMR boost sells the number directly.
When a Wins Order Is the Better Choice
- You want progress on the account without committing to a medal target
- You are close to the next medal and only need a handful of wins
- You want to play the wins yourself with Play with Booster, in party queue
- You have a budget in mind and would rather buy a fixed number of games
Picking Your Current Medal
The price per win is set by the medal you choose, because wins in higher brackets are harder to secure. Pick the medal your account shows right now, not the one you are aiming for; if it changes before the order starts, tell the booster in the order chat.
How Many Games a Wins Order Takes
Because only wins count, the number of games played is always higher than the number of wins ordered. At a 60% win rate, for example, ten wins take about seventeen games - and with Dota matches commonly running thirty-five to fifty minutes, that is a long evening rather than an hour.
Larger orders are worked across several sessions. If you want to use the account in between, say when in the order chat, or turn on Play with Booster and play the games yourself in party queue.
Choosing a Server
Your MMR belongs to the account, not the server, but the server decides who you are matched with and how long queues take. Choose the region you normally play in - North America, Europe or Asia - so the wins come from the same lobbies you will go back to.
